League of Legends
Player Relations Specialist
Riot Games
At Riot Games, I served the League of Legends community, developing content that aimed to humanize and provide a safe vehicle for the development team around products that players loved.
I served product teams (ChampUp, Champion, Skins, RGM, and more) at Riot LAX as well as the Riot NA team, which was predominantly focused on player and creator events.
At Riot, I touched many initiatives, including:
Content Strategy
Livestream Production
Podcast Production
Creator Relationship Management
Event Management
Editorial
Communities of Practice
Content Initiatives
The League of Legends Livestream
I was initially a co-producer before taking on full product ownership of the official League of Legends livestream. I managed topic ideation and planning; cross-collaborations with product teams across Riot Games; creator management; co-hosting; and graphic design of all stream elements, including client and web assets.
We produced a variety of content with rotating guests and hosts, such as:
Monthly Q&A with Ghostcrawler
Development Livestreams
Community-Centric Events (eg. Placements with Marc Merrill)
Holiday Streams with the Creator Team
Creator Content (eg. Camille Launch with Voyboy)
The livestream gained 4.5 million views the first year, racking up 278,770 hours watched, with 138 unique episodes produced.
The League of Legends Podcast
In 2016 and 2017, one of the larger company goals was to develop League of Legends as a lifestyle. The podcast was designed to provide players an outlet to enjoy League wherever they were.
I co-produced the League of Legends podcast, managing topic ideation; cross-collaborations with product teams across Riot Games; creator management; co-hosting; and graphic design of covers, client, and web assets.
We produced a variety of content with rotating guests and hosts, such as:
Development Deep-Dives
Lore Deep-Dives
Patch Rundowns with Scarizard
State of the Game
Live Shows (eg. Sp4zie Live From PAX East)
Creator Interviews (eg. The Trinity Force Podcast Network)
Esports Interviews (eg. The Darshan Experience)
The podcast had over 1 million listens over 36 episodes, scoring a 4.6/5.0 rating with players on our primary platform, Apple Podcasts.
Creator Management and Events
In 2017, we invited 25 League of Legends creators from across the globe to Los Angeles to spend a weekend at YouTube Space LA. We broke them out into five groups of five with the single goal: make the best 1-minute video you can utilizing the tools and props in the space.
I guided a team of five (incredible) creators as they crafted a satirical video announcing the release of League of Legends 2.
YouTube Creator Lab
In 2017, we hosted a PAX West Afterparty alongside the Glitch Mob, where players, creators, and cosplayers came together to celebrate the League community.
I managed invites and relationships for the 8 North American creators we invited to livestream the event.

Legendary Support
The Riot Games Legendary Support program is an internal program focused on celebrating or reaching out to players who have shared a tremendous life event.
In 2016, I stumbled upon a story on the forums from a player who was grieving the sudden loss of his partner who he met and fell in love with while playing League of Legends.
Working with the Legendary Support team, I assembled a team of amazing Rioters and together we crafted a handmade package that celebrated their lives together.
